85 per cent of London Region members vote to accept pay offer
The results are in and 76% of GMB members, nationally, have voted to accept the Local Government and Schools pay offer of 2.75%. In London Region, this result to accept was even higher at 85%.
We are now waiting for the other Unions, who are part of the National Agreement for Local Authority and Schools workers, to declare the result of their ballots and if accepted, the pay award will be backdated to 1st April 2020. Once the outcome of the recognised Unions consultative ballots is known, further details will be announced on the next steps and we will keep you fully informed.
We would like to thank all our members within Local Government, Schools and Academies, who follow the National Joint Council, who took part in this ballot and had their "say on their pay".
