GMB London would like to thank all members who took part and voted in the recent NJC Local Government and School Indicative Industrial Action Ballot.
WHAT NEXT?
Over 100,000 GMB members were asked to take part in this indicative industrial action ballot. Now the ballot is closed GMB regions will be looking at the result of the ballot with Local Government and School Trade Union Representatives and deciding upon the next steps.
In addition, GMB National Local Government and Schools Committees will meet in the New Year to discuss the ongoing pay campaign in light of the ballot result.
Possible outcomes include continuing to seek further talks with the National Employer or moving to an Industrial Action Ballot.

The past year has been difficult for so many people, especially for those working to maintain and provide the country’s essential Public Services. GMB London really appreciates the incredible efforts of all Local Authority, Council and School workers during this period and wishes members and their families a safe and happy festive period.
