GMB Union's General Secretary Gary Smith visits West London Food Manufacturer Noon Foods
GMB’s Gary Smith, General Secretary visited Noon Foods yesterday (Monday 8th August) with GMB London Region’s Warren Kenny, Regional Secretary, Gavin Davies, Senior Officer and Hiten Vaidya, Regional Organiser
GMB members and management at the Noon site in Southall, West London met with GMB by invitation and received a warm and encouraging welcome after the restrictions imposed by the pandemic prevented workplace visits.
This was a follow-up visit to the one back in January when Penny Robinson, President of GMB London Region and Senior Officer Gavin Davies and Organisers Hiten Vaidya and Perry Phillips, received a warm welcome from members and management working at the site.
Hiten Vaidya, GMB London Region Organiser said:
“GMB Shop Stewards do a great job of representing our members, many of whom are really concerned about the cost of living crisis, so the visit proved a great opportunity for GMB to hear those concerns so that we can ensure that these concerns are raised with management for consideration. The visit also helped to develop better relationships and dialogue with senior management teams at Noon.”
