Annual Energy Conference

The London Annual Energy Conference took place at Mary Turner House, Euston on the 21st September.   

The conference was well attended and lively discussions took place on a number of important issues including the acquisition of National Grid by Cadent Gas and an update from Charlotte Gardner, staff side chair of Customers Operations and Stuart Fegan, National Officer regarding on-going pay claims within British Gas industrial and customer operations. 

Guest speakers from our trade union solicitors UnionLine gave advice during an open discussion on a number employment matters including agency workers rights, capability policies and the difference between workers and employees rights at work.   

Ian Aldridge from the Central Safety Team at Cadent Gas gave a presentation on the company's commitment to a safe working environment for all employees and an agreement was reached to continue to work closely with our reps on all aspects of health and safety.
