GMB Union members employed by logistics and security giant Brink’s have voted decisively to strike over a dispute about pay and working conditions.

The strike ballot saw 78 per cent of members, who are based in Feltham, vote in favour of industrial action.

These workers, employed as driver couriers, are responsible for transporting cash and valuables—a role that carries significant risk and responsibility.

Despite this, members say their concerns have been ignored and their work undervalued.

GMB is calling on Brink’s to return to the negotiating table with a fair and respectful offer that reflects the vital role these workers play in the UK’s cash-handling infrastructure.

Andre Marques, GMB Regional Officer, said:

“Our members deserve to be recognised for the challenging and potentially dangerous work that they do.

“They have shown incredible patience during these pay negotiations but feel consistently ignored.

“This ballot for industrial action is a clear message to Brink’s that enough is enough.”

A GMB member working at Brinks said:

“As employees at Brinks, we are facing ever increasing financial difficulties due to the continued cost of living crisis.

“We have had below RPI pay rises, which amount to real terms pay cut.

“Brink’s doesn’t seem to acknowledge our hardship, which is why we have decided to take strike action.”
